Introduction to Pride Design

Pride Design is a small, agile, and customer-focused web design agency. Our size allows us to respond quickly, adapt to changing needs, and provide a truly personalised service for every client. We specialise in creating high-quality, interactive, and content-driven websites that deliver real results.

Our Track Record

With over 20 years of experience building websites of all types, including e-commerce platforms, we have consistently delivered award-winning projects that showcase our ability to compete with the largest agencies in the country.

  • 2007: We won two Golden Spider Awards, including the prestigious Grand Prix Award for the Cully & Sully website. Built on Drupal, this site included advanced features such as a forum, blogs, a user-driven cookbook, and a product browser.
  • 2010: Our Chef-Factor project, an innovative online competition created with Cully & Sully, was nominated for the All Ireland Marketing Awards in the e-Marketing category.
  • 2011: Chef-Factor returned, winning our third national award for ‘Best Micro-Site’ at the Irish Web Design Awards. That year, nine of our projects were nominated, with five making the final short-lists, including Pride Design for ‘Web Agency of the Year.’
  • 2012: Our website for Cork Opera House won Best Arts Website at the Irish Web Awards.
  • 2014: TheCorkNews.ie was named ‘Best Online Publication’ at the Irish Web Awards, triumphing over national heavyweights like The Irish Times and The Irish Examiner. Pride Design was again shortlisted for ‘Web Agency of the Year.’
  • 2015 & 2016: Biabeauty.com was a Semi-Finalist at the Irish Web Awards in the Best SME Website and Most Beautiful Website categories.
  • 2017: MagicVacations.ie won Best Website at the Travel Awards.
  • 2021: Our website for Lisnavagh House earned the Best Tourism Website award at the Carlow Chamber of Commerce Awards.

At Pride Design, we believe in developing long-term partnerships with our clients.

We’re proud of our track record, but what drives us is delivering success for our clients, no matter the size or scale of the project.

Our Services:

What We Do

At Pride Design, we create websites that are equal parts beautiful and practical — built to tell your brand story, drive action, and grow with your business. Whether you're selling artisan products, running a busy cookery school, or showcasing a premium food or drink offering, we bring the technical know-how and creative thinking to make it work online.

Get your business found online

1. Website Design & Development

Beautiful design is only half the story, we make sure your site works just as well as it looks.

We design and build websites that are fast, responsive and tailored to your audience. Whether fully custom or built using a refined template as a base, every site is crafted with a focus on usability, clarity and performance. Our goal is always the same: to create something that looks great, works seamlessly, and helps your business grow.

2. Webflow CMS & E-Commerce

Webflow gives you full creative freedom, without the tech headache.

We build most of our sites in Webflow, a flexible platform that lets us design exactly what you need and then hand over control to you. With a built-in CMS and a growing e-commerce offering, it’s ideal for content-rich, design-led websites.

For clients who want more advanced selling features without switching platforms, we now offer CartGenie, a robust new e-commerce layer built specifically for Webflow. It pairs best-in-class storytelling with a powerful checkout and inventory system, all managed directly in your Webflow project.

3. Shopify & Headless Integrations

The power of Shopify, with the design flexibility of Webflow.

For more advanced e-commerce setups, we use a headless model — where Webflow powers the front-end and Shopify handles product management, stock, and checkout.

This gives you the best of both worlds: a rich, custom user experience backed by a proven e-commerce engine.

4. Subscription Models & Bookings

Built-in tools for recurring revenue and appointment-based businesses.

Whether you're delivering meal kits, running a cookery school, or taking one-to-one bookings, we can help set up a smooth user journey from signup to payment. We’ve worked with subscription platforms like Spiffy and booking tools like YouCanBookMe, and can advise on what works best.

5. SEO & Content Strategy

A great site isn’t much good if no one finds it.

We make sure your site is built for search from the ground up — with clean code, logical structure and fast-loading pages. We also help craft your messaging and content in a way that speaks to both Google and your customers, so your site is findable and compelling.

6. Ongoing Support & Optimisation

Your site should evolve with your business and we’re here to help.

Once your site is live, we offer ongoing support, updates and performance improvements. Whether it’s fresh content, new features, or just someone to call when you need help, we’re never far away.

Championing Sustainability

Sustainable Efforts of Pride Design

As a small, home-based agency, we integrate sustainability into both our operations and client projects in the following ways:

  • Eco-Friendly Hosting Providers: We partner with hosting providers that prioritise renewable energy, such as AWS (used by Webflow), or other green hosting providers like OVH Cloud and Hosting Ireland.
  • Energy Efficiency: We use energy-efficient devices, LED lighting, and renewable energy options (when possible) in our office.
  • Reduced Commuting: Our office, located in our garden, eliminates commuting-related emissions.
  • Energy-Efficient Websites: We build optimised websites by reducing image sizes, minimising scripts, and optimising code for faster load times.
  • Performance Enhancements: Features like lazy-loading and caching improve performance and reduce server loads.
  • Paperless Operations: We use digital tools for contracts, billing, and project management, and almost never print any material.
  • E-Signature Platforms: Streamlined processes through e-signature platforms reduce paper waste.
  • Carbon Offsets: We support reforestation programs and invest in carbon offsets for our digital operations.
  • Client Sustainability Guidance: We advise clients to include eco-friendly practices in their digital presence by highlighting sustainability initiatives through dedicated website sections.
  • Tech Responsibility: We avoid excessive tech upgrades, use durable devices, and recycle electronics responsibly.
  • Remote Collaboration: Tools like Zoom and Slack minimise travel emissions by enabling virtual collaboration.

Pride Design are always eager to learn and are open to suggestions on what more we can do as a business and as individual workers to improve our sustainability practices.

  • Code Efficiency: Webflow generates clean, semantic HTML5 code, reducing server load and energy usage.
  • Image Optimisation: Automatic compression and optimisation of images minimise data transfer and energy consumption.

Streamlined Infrastructure: Webflow’s built-in hosting reduces the need for separate servers or plugins, lowering the overall energy footprint.

A big thank you to Sinead and the Pride Design Team! Heartfelt thanks to Sinead for building our amazing website and enabling us to improve our online presence. Sinead had the unenviable task of dealing with clients who are technologically challenged- but even we recognized the need for a great website and digital presence if we were to successfully grow our business, especially in the current climate. (All this took place during Covid-19)

We were looking to create a website which would match our product- an historic house reimagined offering luxury accommodation & fine food and hosting exclusive events for the home & international guest. The website needed to attract our audience and drive business directly to us.

We had a very clear idea of the aesthetic but no clue after that. Sinead merged the look we desired and all the functionality required and produced a beautiful creative website which immediately improved our online presence, has helped us attract our target market and grow our business (even in these crazy Covid times). We are looking forward to the busy seasons ahead!Sinead thank you so much for your patience & support, we are so proud of our website and grateful for all the work you did, you went above & beyond!!!
